Legal Disclaimer

Last updated: October 2026 • Please read carefully before using SoundWell

1. Audio Copyright & User Responsibility

SoundWell is strictly a client-side digital signal processing (DSP) utility software application. SoundWell does not host, stream, provide, broadcast, index, or distribute any copyrighted music, audio tracks, or recordings.

When you load an audio file into SoundWell, the file is read directly from your local filesystem into your device's browser memory. You retain sole and exclusive responsibility for the audio files you choose to process.

By using SoundWell, you affirm and warrant that you own all copyrights in the audio you import, or that you have obtained all necessary licenses, permissions, or authorizations from the copyright holders, or that your use qualifies under applicable fair use or private study exceptions in your legal jurisdiction. SoundWell disclaims any liability for copyright infringement resulting from user-generated audio edits or distributions.

2. No Affiliation or Third-Party Endorsement

SoundWell is an independent web application. Any references on this site to third-party trademarks, musical artists, bands, genres, or corporate brands (such as Google, Razorpay, Apple, or W3C) are made strictly for technological description, historical context, or identification purposes.

Unless explicitly stated, SoundWell is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with any recording artist, record label, copyright collective, or technology entity referenced on this site.

3. Technical Performance & Hardware Limitations

SoundWell relies on the native W3C Web Audio API implemented by modern web browsers (such as Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge).

Because audio decoding, convolution reverb calculation, and offline WAV rendering take place on your device's CPU and RAM:

  • Processing speed, memory limits, and export duration depend on your physical device capabilities.
  • Very large audio files or lengthy tracks may experience memory constraints on low-resource mobile hardware.
  • We make no guarantees that all audio container formats or audio codecs will be supported by every browser version.

The software is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any performance warranties.

4. Not Professional Legal or Financial Advice

If you plan to release, monetize, or distribute derivative music edits or remixes commercially, you are strongly advised to consult a qualified intellectual property attorney in your relevant jurisdiction to clear all mechanical and master synchronization rights.
